Правила доменов .IL
The .il domain name extension is the country code top level domain (ccTLD) of Israel. The Israel Internet Association is the registry of .il domain registration and the sponsoring organization of .il registration is the Internet Society of Israel. An advisory committee has been established for the resolution of disputes regarding the registration of .il domain names.
The .il domain was introduced in 1985 for the intended use of individuals and organizations associated with Israel. The .il domain name helps you to access and navigate Israel based web pages and locate web based servers more quickly. It enables Israeli websites to be disseminated throughout the world and it enhances their marketing potential. The .il domain registration allows second level domain registrations.
Some of the sub domains used are:
- .co.il : for commercial entities
- .ac.il : for academic institutions
- .net.il : for internet service providers
- .k12 : schools and kindergartens
- .muni.il : for municipal government
- .idf.il : for Israeli defense forces
- .org.il : for non-commercial organizations
- .gov.il : for government organizations
Local presence is not required for .il registration, but it is important to note that domain names should not be offensive or
violate any laws of Israel. Multiple domains are also allowed. You can choose your .il domain name, but domain names with
less than three characters are not accepted. Each organization can have a maximum of ten .il domains registered to them.
After successful registration, you will get a notification in your email address. Your domain name will be active within 24 hours of the notification.
